'Teen Mom' star Amber Portwood and her baby daddy Gary Shirely were required to get permission from court to appear on an MTV reunion show.
RadarOnline.com is reporting that Portwood and Shirely, along with their two-year-old daughter Leah, needed to get permission from the Madison County court to appear on a 'Teen Mom' reunion show. This stems from a request made to the court by Child Protective Services who had asked that the couple have no contact in the presence of their daughter.
A source close to Portwood is reported saying, "Amber and Gary were given a special dispensation to be together for the show with the child in California. And they were more than civil together."
The source continues, "There was some talk of trying to reconcile but now they're young adults and no longer teens, they are thinking more realistically about what it means and how to reconcile in the face of the history they have had together."
Last year, Leah was temporarily made a "ward of the state" after images of Portwood drinking underage surfaced online. Portwood was also being investigated for domestic violence for allegedly assaulting Shirley and spent a day in jail for felony domestic abuse charges.
Portwood was reunited with Leah a day after her release from jail.
The 'Teen Mom' star recently got into some hot water when nude images of the 20-year-old leaked online. There have been claims that Portwood had leaked the images herself.

Troubled 'Teen Mom 2' Star Jenelle Evans Hits Beach
Jenelle Evans is making a splash ... and it's got nothing to do with the hot water the 'Teen Mom 2' star has recently been in.
Just days after being arrested for assault, Evans was all smiles as she strolled solo along the beach in Oak Island, NC. In a skimpy white bikini, the 19-year-old revealed tattoos on her hip, shoulder and back.
Following the online leak of the fight video that led to her arrest, Evans claimed Brittany Maggard, who can be seen pushing Evans into the fight with alleged victim Britany Truett, sold video of the scuffle to the media for $45,000.
Evans' son, Jace, is currently in temporary custody with her mother, Barbara. Last night's 'Teen Mom 2 Finale Special' proved that Jenelle's relationship with her mother remains strained.
"Is she lovable?" host Dr. Drew asked.
"No," Barbara said.
"She's not lovable. That's pretty heavy," Dr. Drew said. "What does she need to do to be lovable?
"She needs to be a kinder person," Barbara said. "Everything is just about Jenelle."

Experts: Being on 'Teen Mom' Makes Its Stars Unstable
'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans was arrested for assault over the weekend after a video surfaced of her brutally beating another teen. Evans has also incurred charges of drug possession and breaking and entering.
Her fellow teen mom, Amber Portwood, was arrested in December and spent 24 hours in jail on charges of attacking her baby daddy in front of their two-year-old daughter.
Now experts are raising the question of whether 'Teen Mom' is to blame for taking obviously unstable teenagers and thrusting them into a spotlight they are not ready to handle.
"These are not the most stable girls to begin
