Kelly Osbourne Considering Gastric Band to Maintain Weight
Kelly Osbourne is considering getting a gastric band surgery to maintain her slim figure.
The 'E! Fashion Police' co-host is thinking of taking the drastic step ever since she put on almost 14 pounds while on vacation and as she fears that Madonna may drop her as the face of her fashion label Material Girl.
The UK's Daily Star is quoting a friend of Kelly who said, "Kel's at her wit's end over her weight and is worried she's putting back all the pounds she fought so hard to lose. She's recently been on holiday and put on almost a stone (14 pounds) while enjoying herself."
The friend continues, "She got a bit of a shock when she got home and realized she couldn't fit into her new clothes. Kelly knows a gastric band would be drastic but she's desperate to keep the weight off. Being the face of Madonna's range just adds more pressure. She's scared of getting axed in favor of someone skinny if she puts on more weight."
The friend also mentions that Kelly would turn to food for comfort after her recent split from fiancé Luke Worrall
Sharon Osbourne, Kelly's mother, had the surgery done in 1999 and successfully lost 100 pounds, is reportedly backing her daughter should Kelly decide to go through with the surgery.
It has been reported that Kelly has already has booked appointments to see two specialists ahead of the operation.
The reality star and former 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant opened up in the December issue of Shape Magazine about how the media scrutiny of her figure proved too much for her to handle.
"I understand that being judged by others comes with the territory, but it broke my heart and ruined my self-esteem," she says. "It sets you up to hate yourself in a huge way."
