The Royal Wedding: William and Kate Say 'I Will'

Prince William and Kate Middleton exchanged vows in Westminster Abbey on Friday, making them the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. More than 1 million well-wishers looked on in the London streets and an estimated 2 billion tuned in to watch the fairy talk come true.

The couple said "I will" when directed by Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. Middleton wore an ivory and white satin gown designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen and her hair was mostly down. William wore a red tunic of an Irish Guards officer, according to the AP. PopEater was watching the spectacle just like you and live-blogged accordingly.

Watch All the Highlights (the kiss is coming soon):

Updates:
8:30 AM: With that, we're signing off. Check back at PopEater for more highlights from the wedding of the century!

8:26 AM: THE KISS. It was a quickie, followed minutes later by a slightly longer peck.

8:06 AM: A whole lot of waiting until that kiss.

7:34 AM: The clearly happy couple hop off the carriage and make their way in for a luncheon event at Buckingham Palace.

7:20 AM: Procession through London continues with Will and Kate's subjects showering them with love and screams. We're taking a moment to appreciate the QueenMobile, though. Very fetch.

7:11 AM: And the crowd goes wild! Procession through jolly old London begins!

7:09 AM: They have exited the Abbey and Prince William daintily puts his white gloves on as they board the carriage.

7:05 AM: Set to a very 'Star Wars'-sounding score, William and Kate emerge from behind the scenes to walk elegantly down the aisle as husband and wife. She is beaming and he can barely hold back a grin.

6:55 AM: The bride and groom have been escorted out for a quick minute to themselves.

6:51 AM: More singing, but this time a big hit: 'God Save The Queen' which for Americans sounds identical to 'My Country, 'Tis of Thee.' How many of you were belting "LET FREEDOM RING' at the end?

6:44 AM: Guests get their 'Lord's Prayer' on following a gorgeous choral performance.

6:34: Following some more singing, the Rev. Richard Chartres does some lecturing on the awesomeness of marriage. Highlight: He quotes Chaucer, a "pithy poet."

6:24 AM: James Middleton, the Duchesses handsome bro, delivers a reading.

6:21 AM: Meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

6:20 AM: "I pronounce that they be man and wife together."

6:15 AM: William and Kate are exchanging vows.

6:08 AM: Wills just told his bride she looked beautiful! Swoon.

6:05 AM: It's all happening! Kate and her father walk down the aisle.

6:01 AM: Kate Middleton and her father are greeted by Pippa as arrived at Westminster Abbey, receiving a roaring cheer from the crowd. Kate's glowing!

5:56 AM: Kate's sister and maid of honor, Pippa, leads the young bridal party into the abbey.

5:51 AM: The bride has left the building! Kate Middleton and her father, Michael, are en route from the Goring Hotel to Westminster Abbey. From what we could see, the bride is dressed in a lace-bodiced, long-sleeved dress and veil, with her hair worn down.

5:48 AM: Queen Elizabeth II, dressed in a bright yellow ensemble complete with a yellow hat, and Prince Philip have arrived for their grandson's wedding, greeted by cheering crowds lining the street near the abbey. The couple were married in the same church in 1947.

5:45 AM: Prince Charles and wife Camilla Bowles have arrived for Prince William's wedding. Camilla in an Anna Valentine champagne dress, Philip Treacy headpiece, and Jimmy Choo shoes.

5:32 AM: Kate Middleton's mother, Carole, and brother, James, have arrived at Westminster Abbey.

5:25 AM: Prince William and Harry have arrived at the abbey and will chat with wedding guests for about 10 minutes before heading back to a private room for a quiet moment before the ceremony.

5:13 AM: Prince William and his best man and brother Prince Harry, both dressed in their military uniforms, have left Clarence House to make the short drive to Westminster Abbey.

5:03 AM: British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha have entered the tree-lined abbey.

5:00 AM: David and Victoria Beckham and Elton John and David Furnish have arrived at the abbey, along with Guy Richie, who is said to be a friend of Prince William.

The palace released a minute-by-minute official program Thursday for the procession and ceremony.

In addition to the schedule, a new portrait of the Kate Middleton and Prince William was also released, which was taken by the famed photographer Mario Testino.
And along with the black and white portrait was a personal message of thanks from the royal couple.

UsMagazine.com reports that the message reads, "We are both so delighted that you are able to join us in celebrating what we hope will be one of the happiest days of our lives. The affection shown to us by so many people during our engagement has been incredibly moving, and has touched us both deeply. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone most sincerely for their kindness."

Official Family Portrait on Royal Wedding Day

The recessional march from Westminster Abbey that ended the historic wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton (make that Duchess of Cambridge) began a long day full of photo ops.

As the family gathered inside the throne room of Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth II sat next to her husband, Prince Philip, for their grandson's official family portrait with his new bride. The newlyweds look genuinely delighted striking a regal pose alongside their parents, siblings and young wedding party (on the far left, 3-year-old bridal attendant Grace Van Cutsem was typically contrarian about all the pomp and circumstance). Best man Prince Harry cracks a grin next to the groom, but why was Maid of honor Pippa Middleton banished to the edge of the group?

Queen Elizabeth Shines in Yellow at Royal Wedding

Here comes the sun: the Queen mum was all smiles as she greeted guests at the wedding of her grandson, Prince William.

Queen Elizabeth II chose an Angela Kelly single crepe wool primrose dress with hand-sewn beading at the neck in the shape of sunrays.

Pinned to her matching double crepe wool tailored primrose coat was Queen Mary's True Lovers Knot diamond brooch. Her hat with silk roses -- also designed by Angela Kelly -- was a lovely addition to her outfit. Ladylike accessories like white gloves, pearl necklace and white handbag added a timeless elegance.

Meanwhile, bride Kate Middleton wore a Sarah Burton gown down the aisle and wedding guest Victoria Beckham accessorized with a floral topper as well -- hers is a bit more eccentric than the Queen's though.

David and Victoria Beckham Arrive Dressed to the Nines at Royal Wedding

David and Victoria Beckham arrived dressed to the nines at the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey on Friday.

According to UsMagazine.com, a pregnant Victoria donned a navy dress and heels, with a fashionable "fascinator" hat designed by Philip Treacy. David looked daper in a Ralph Lauren suit, complete with a top hat.

"It really is amazing. Our country needs it. Our country wants it. The British public love the royal family," the soccer stud recently said in a video message on his Facebook page.

"I was brought up around the royal family and around loving the royal family with my granddad, with my nan," he continued.

Beyonce and Jay-Z Invited to Perform at the Royal Reception

It has been reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton have asked Beyonce? and her husband rap legend Jay-Z to perform at their wedding reception.

According to The Daily Star, a source close to the royal couple said, "Both William and Kate are massive fans of Beyonce? and Jay-Z. They really wanted to make their big day even more special and what better way than by getting pop royalty to perform at the party?"

The source continued, "Will and Kate will have an official reception for hundreds of dignitaries before throwing a less formal bash for loved-ones. They both wanted to ditch traditions and make it more personal for them."

The source is sure that it would be "highly likely" that the power couple would accept the invite to perform at the royal reception adding. "After all, who would turn down a once-in-a- lifetime gig like that?" the source said.

The palace has refused to neither confirm nor deny whether Beyonce and Jay-Z have accepted the invitation to perform.

A few days ago, a "selected" list of royals and celebs who are confirmed as wedding guests had been revealed.

Brits David and Victoria Beckham and Sir Elton John were no surprises, but the list also confirmed the attendance of director Guy Ritchie, singer Joss Stone, Olympic swimmer Ian Thorpe and quirky 'Mr. Bean' star Rowan Atkinson.

Caught on Camera at The Royal Wedding: The Cartwheeling Clergyman

Perhaps when newlywed royals William and Kate look back on their wedding day, no video will crack them up more than this clip, recorded moments after guests exited Westminster Abbey.

A cheeky clergyman lucky enough to witness history in the making (one of many religious officials in attendance) was apparently so elated by the joyful event that had just wrapped up inside the ancient London church, he celebrated by doing cartwheels down the empty aisle.

As he indulged in a fit of childlike glee, Sky News caught the moment on tape, creating an instant viral video. And the experience may just teach the vicar what the royal family know all too well: Cameras are everywhere. Check out footage here.

Will Prince Harry Miss the Royal Wedding?

Prince Harry is currently stranded in the Arctic Circle just a few weeks shy of his big brother's royal wedding, and some are worried he'll miss the big day.

According to E! Online, Harry is at the North Pole on an expedition with the charity Walking With the Wounded and was supposed to leave Thursday to return to the U.K. However, things didn't go quite as planned.

"Prince Harry was due to leave the Arctic today, but owing to damage to the runway at Ice Camp Barneo his departure has been delayed," says a rep for the prince. "He will now spend an extra day trekking with the team and return to Barneo tonight to await the first available flight.

The prince and his team are expected to leave the region within the next 48 hours, however the spokeswoman for the expedition explained that "given the unpredictable nature of conditions in the Arctic the situation may change."

Royal April Fool's Joke: Seats to William and Kate's Wedding for Sale

With the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton only weeks away, hype is reaching critical mass. And frankly, the overdrive whirlwind of all things Will and Kate has started to become a blur.

That's why the luxury site AHAlife got the attention of many of its readers with its unique, eye-popping offer on Friday.

The gussied-up package was offered with frills galore, but the gem in the deal was a doozy: two "tickets" to the lavish, history-making nuptials at Westminster Abbey in London later this month. The cost of the once-in-a-lifetime experience? A whopping $24,875.

The chance for a commoner to sit among royals and international dignitaries in the ancient Abbey, with pipe organs blaring, watching Wills as he watches Kate (and her dress and train) proceed down the aisle seemed downright irresistible...

Royal Couple, Is That You? Ad Spoofs Windsor Wedding

That viral video of a wedding party boogying down the aisle inspired scenes on 'The Office' and 'Glee,' and it's now responsible for spawning yet another...uh...love child?

In the U.K., a fun new T-Mobile spot about Prince William and Kate Middleton's big day is a hit on YouTube, as wedding fever intensifies in the days before the April 29 event. Nearly 900,000 (and counting) have viewed the ad.

Watching the Windsors dance like dorky commoners, you'll see uncanny lookalikes. Producers found decent doppelgangers for the bride and groom, but you could get downright fooled into thinking that's really Harry and Camilla, the likenesses are so strong. The music fueling all the smooth moves is courtesy of the British boyband East 17.

William and Kate Invite Ex-Flames to Royal Wedding

The opportunity to watch your ex walk down the aisle with someone else would usually be met with a "hell no," but that's simply not the case when it comes to Prince William and Kate Middleton's poised and proper former flames.

The official guest list for the event of the year has been leaked, and according to the UK's Daily Mail, six of the guests are Prince William and Middleton's former flames.

Before Middleton began dating the young prince, her heart at St. Andrews belonged to Rupert Finch, who will have the chance to congratulate his ex-girlfriend after her royal nuptials. But Kate isn't the only party guilty of including her exes in the big day -- Prince William has invited all of his ex-girlfriends to see him tie the knot with Middleton. We have a feeling there will be a cacophony of heavy sighs as the couple says "I do" with a chorus of "that could have been me."

But Jecca Craig, reportedly the prince's first love, according to the Daily Mail, may not be among the latter group. She will attend the ceremony with her new beau, Captain Philip Kaye, who was also given a gold-leafed invite. William's once intended bride (in a modern spin on arranged marriage), Davina Duckworth-Chad, will also be in attendance with her husband.
Between the couple, they have included six ex-loves on their 350 plus-person guest list. But enough with the blue bloods -- of the celebrity set, William and his future bride have invited David and Victoria Beckham and Guy Ritchie. Ritchie's ex, Madonna, was not lucky enough to receive a royal invite.

President Obama and First Lady Michelle are also among those who won't be rubbing elbows with the chosen few at wedding. Although, ever the poised politician's wife, Michelle Obama has repeatedly said that they are not acquainted with the couple, so why would they be invited?

But with live streams and global broadcasts, we can all feel like we're part of the big day.

Royal wedding rumpus: Kate Vs Camilla

Weddings are the most stressful thing in the world to organise and anyone that tells you otherwise is lying. LYING, WE TELL YOU. Which is why we feel super sorry for Kate Middleton today, on hearing the news that she and Camilla are at loggerheads over appropriate headwear for the bride.

Kate it appears fancies having some flowers in her hair and having been to see some designer who is a bit of a Cornwall, boho hippie, it sounds like she has her heart set on the idea. Camilla, on the other hand, would rather she had something a little more

A royal wedding style preview

Next pic William Duckworth-Chad and Lucy Greenwell

There was a royal wedding this weekend! No, not that one! Don’t panic Wills and Kate didn’t run off and do it on the quiet, instead there was a totes rah ‘do to celebrate the marriage of William’s second cousin, William Duckworth-Chad, to Lucy Greenwell (just the one surname? Can’t be a real rah). Sadly Wills and Kate weren’t there but if you’re after some clues as to what the guests at their wedding will be wearing then this sea of smartly fitted two pieces, wrap dresses and fascinators provides plenty of clues.
