Beyonce and Jay-Z Invited to Perform at the Royal Reception

It has been reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton have asked Beyonce? and her husband rap legend Jay-Z to perform at their wedding reception.

According to The Daily Star, a source close to the royal couple said, "Both William and Kate are massive fans of Beyonce? and Jay-Z. They really wanted to make their big day even more special and what better way than by getting pop royalty to perform at the party?"

The source continued, "Will and Kate will have an official reception for hundreds of dignitaries before throwing a less formal bash for loved-ones. They both wanted to ditch traditions and make it more personal for them."

The source is sure that it would be "highly likely" that the power couple would accept the invite to perform at the royal reception adding. "After all, who would turn down a once-in-a- lifetime gig like that?" the source said.

The palace has refused to neither confirm nor deny whether Beyonce and Jay-Z have accepted the invitation to perform.

A few days ago, a "selected" list of royals and celebs who are confirmed as wedding guests had been revealed.

Brits David and Victoria Beckham and Sir Elton John were no surprises, but the list also confirmed the attendance of director Guy Ritchie, singer Joss Stone, Olympic swimmer Ian Thorpe and quirky 'Mr. Bean' star Rowan Atkinson.

Jay-Z Takes Beyonce On A Surprise Trip To The Bahamas

Jay-Z and Beyonce are really into giving each other over the top gifts to celebrate anniversaries, holidays, birthdays and the like. For Christmas last year, Jay-Z gave Beyonce $350,000 in designer purses. And Beyonce spent $2 million on buying Jay-Z a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport car for his birthday.

So it’s no surprise that for their third year wedding anniversary, Jay-Z surprised his wife with a quick but romantic trip to the Bahamas. He had staff fill their villa with her favorite white flowers, he made sure there was cold champagne waiting and they celebrated with several romantic seafood dinners on the beach.

Beyonce is preparing for the release of her fourth album though, so she couldn’t stay long.

Jay-Z took his lucky wife Beyonce off on a surprise trip to the Bahamas to celebrate their third wedding anniversary. That definitely tops a weekend in Skegness.

Apparently Jay-Z booked a luxury villa filled with white flowers and champagne on ice, and then treated his other half to a candlelit seafood feast on the beach.

The couple ran into Beyonce's Austin Powers co-star, Verne Troyer also known as Mini Me.

A source revealed more "They bumped into Verne on a jaunt out one day. They were really surprised to see him. "They had a laugh then he joined them for the rest of the day and dinner that evening."

We don’t know about you, but if we were having a romantic mini-break we probably wouldn’t want to spend it with old co-workers.

Beyonce Fires Her Father As Her Manager

I’d say Beyonce’s dad did his job while he worked as his daughter’s manager. Now, thanks in part to him, she’s one of the one-namers. However, Beyonce is ending her working relationship with him.

“I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother manage me and own their own businesses. They are hard working entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps.

“He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me.”

Matthew Knowles also released a statement saying,

“The decision for Beyonce and Music World Entertainment to part was mutual. We did great things together and I know that she will continue to conquer new territories in music and entertainment.

“Business is business and family is family. I love my daughter and I am very proud of who she is and all she has achieved. I look forward to her continued great success.”

I have to wonder if this decision has anything to do with the concert Beyonce was hired to perform for Gaddafi. She seemed pretty upset about that money and even said of her father,

“Ultimately, Matthew Knowles should be accountable for that decision, and I do accept responsibility.”

Hmmm, do you believe that Beyonce and Matthew parted working ways mutually?
