Mariah Carey Paints an Easter Egg on Her Pregnant Belly

Singer Mariah Carey ensured her unborn twins were part of her Easter celebrations.

On Sunday, Carey posted a picture on Twitter where she showed her pregnant belly being painted by an unidentified woman with an image of a large sky blue Easter egg with white clouds.

On the left side of the egg was a blue heart, and on the right side, a pink heart, signifying her future son and daughter.

Carey, 42, also tweeted the message, "HAPPY EASTER! Ummm.. READY!!!!!!!!!!!! Done and done."

This is the second time Carey has painted her belly. She recently posted an image of her baby bump with a butterfly painted on it. The butterfly had a blue and a pink wing.

Carey is sparing no expense when it comes to the nursery for her soon-to-be-born twins. In an interview, the songbird showed off her elaborate nursery, which cost a whopping $100,000.

Decked out in soft unisex colors, Carey and her husband Nick Cannon infused their personal style within the room, located at their Bel-Air, Calif. mansion, but also dropped a pretty penny on specific items, like a $30,000 crib.

Mariah Carey Bares All in Intimate Pregnancy Shoot

As Mariah Carey's due date inches closer, the singer bared her pregnant belly for an intimate photo shoot for Life & Style.

Carey is reportedly just a few weeks away from giving birth to twins -- a boy and a girl -- with husband Nick Cannon.

"I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn't want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience," Carey told Life & Style. "My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans."

Apparently Carey wasn't the only one excited about the photo shoot.

"The babies were kicking almost the entire time; it was unbelievable," she said. "Especially the girl -- clearly she's a diva in training! We didn't start shooting until 1:30 a.m. because I was in the hospital from the night before until the day of the shoot with contractions five minutes apart!"

The singer had a bit of a scare last month when she experienced contractions strong enough to send her to the hospital, but was given the all clear to head home after a few hours, with Cannon right by her side.
"I thought I couldn't love Mariah more," Cannon said of his wife. "But I have a whole new appreciation and admiration for her."

Carey's pregnancy has also made her realize the life-changing role of motherhood.

"Now I have so much respect for mothers everywhere, especially those who've had difficult pregnancies or given birth to multiples," she said. "We need to have Mother's Day once a week!"

Nick Cannon? The TV personality told Fox411's Pop Tarts that his wife, who is pregnant with twins, is feeding him so much that he's the one packing on the pregnancy pounds!

"At this point she's just doing a lot of cooking, she's not even eating. She's creating the smell," he said. "So she cooks it, then makes me eat it. Im the one gaining all the weight! Last night we had buttered pork chops and homemade pecan pie. It's like a smorgasbord in the kitchen every day."

Cannon, 30, and Carey, 40, are expecting the twins to be born this spring. The two have several unique names picked out for their future brood, but they're keeping them under wraps. The 'America's Got Talent' host said he hopes they'll be strict parents "but we'll still have fun at the same time."

When asked if the future parents would ever collaborate musically, Cannon was uncertain.
"You never know. If we do, it will only be in fun," he said. "I don't feel like I'm worthy to ever be in the studio with Mariah Carey on a serious note."

When asked how he won over the world-famous diva, Cannon coyly replied, "That's the question of the hour. I don't know- I got lucky."
